How the Others Might See
An Alternative View
In 2023, I received an Agility Award from the Arts Council in Ireland to research ‘How the others might see’. This project was to help create an awareness of how we share the earth with many other creatures and how we are intertwined through our reliance on various habitats.
Project Background
As humans, it's natural that our perspective is shaped by our evolutionary history, focused on securing shelter, food, and mates within the context of our own lives and species. We tend to overlook the survival needs of other species, along with their evolutionary adaptations. However, gaining insight into the perspectives of other species and viewing the world from their vantage points is essential for developing ecological awareness and ensuring the preservation of biodiversity.
The outputs show adaptations of various creatures on land and in water and give an insight into how the world works for them. Follow the link to a document that outlines the project and outputs.
